Alyshia Keys-Harris

Learning Designer

I joined the Teaching and Learning Lab in 2020 as a Learning Designer, here I partner with faculty across HGSE to craft high-impact online learning experiences grounded in the science of learning, with a focus on creating durable and flexible learning. From course design fundamentals to emerging questions of generative AI in the classroom, I enjoy collaborating with educators to design thoughtful, scalable approaches that support effective teaching and transformative outcomes. I lead the design of complex learning initiatives, mentor emerging learning designers, and collaborate with colleagues to build sustainable learning solutions that respond to the evolving needs of higher education.

I bring nearly two decades of experience in education to this work. Before joining HGSE, I spent 10 years as a secondary science educator, including several years teaching in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and hold a master's in Digital Age Learning and Educational Technology from the Johns Hopkins University School of Education. These experiences continue to shape my approach to designing inclusive, evidence-informed learning environments.

I also serve as Co-Chair of the Teaching and Learning Consortium's Learning Data and Analytics Affinity Group, where I facilitate conversations across Harvard exploring emerging practices in learning analytics, educational data, and innovation.
