#  AI Literacy Tutorial

As part of their registration process, all incoming HGSE students are required to complete an [AI Literacy](https://canvas.harvard.edu/courses/158289/pages/welcome-to-the-ai-literacy-tutorial?module_item_id=1905578) tutorial, created in Canvas. The resource features sections on [Functional ](https://canvas.harvard.edu/courses/158289/pages/functional-ai-literacy?module_item_id=1906517)and [Ethical](https://canvas.harvard.edu/courses/158289/pages/ethical-ai-literacy?module_item_id=1906520) AI literacy, and on [Using Generative AI at HGSE](https://canvas.harvard.edu/courses/158289/pages/using-generative-ai-at-hgse?module_item_id=1906521), with HGSE-specific examples and guidance including videos from faculty members [Elizabeth Bonawitz](https://harvard.hosted.panopto.com/Panopto/Pages/Viewer.aspx?id=d71e952a-b55c-4bda-89c6-b2c10006f0f4&start=0), [Chris Dede](https://harvard.hosted.panopto.com/Panopto/Pages/Viewer.aspx?id=d77aeb3c-d1ce-496b-aef7-b2c1000584b4&start=0) and [David Dockterman](https://harvard.hosted.panopto.com/Panopto/Pages/Viewer.aspx?id=d1ccb848-8eed-4e3e-a934-b2c1000818ba&start=16.483904). HGSE instructors can use the tutorial to understand the School's messaging to students about AI, and reference it in their courses throughout the year.
