The Teaching and Learning Lab was founded in 2015 as a full-service design and development shop to support HGSE faculty teaching across modalities. Experts in learning design, instructional coaching, learning technology, and media production partner with faculty to enhance the student learning experience in residential and online settings. From individual consultations to group ongoing professional development and team-based course design and development initiatives, TLL staff members assist faculty members in creating high-quality, research-based teaching and learning assets.

The TLL’s priorities are tied directly to HGSE’s strategic academic initiatives. The TLL accelerates the process for faculty members to develop new curricula and teaching practices that serve the HGSE community and the field in innovative ways. TLL staff support new online Ed.M. programs and partner with Professional Education to explore flexible learning experiences to engage practitioners.
